Back to Our People

Many thanks for your superb presentation on Friday. Not a dry eye in the house and you met our brief perfectly of building in the key teambuilding, motivation and leadership messages. We’ve skipped through 50 or so of the evaluation forms and everybody has been extremely complimentary.”

What came across was a realistic and touching story of sheer determination in the face of adversity. This is something that I think an audience can relate to, rather than a story about 'all out success' which at the end of the day, not many people are lucky enough to achieve in their every day lives. Very enjoyable, well done!Paul Clayton -Bang and Olufsen

One of the truly outstanding achievements of this leg is Will Carnegie’s. The skipper of VERITAS had to turn back to Australia to allow two crew badly injured in the Bass Strait to be airlifted to hospital and then turn the boat round and go back into the Southern Ocean with a shaken and frightened team. (Yachting World, June 2001)

This and many other similar headlines were to greet millions of readers after VERITAS; one of twelve identical yachts competing in the BT Global Challenge was hit by an enormous wave in the notorious Bass Strait.
