Tori James is a multi-talented individual with a passion for the outdoors. Tori has spent three years working for the British Schools Exploring Society, during which time she was part of an all-female team that set out to make history in the Arctic.

In May 2005 The Pink Lady PoleCats became the first ever all-female team to complete The Polar Challenge, a gruelling 360 mile race to the Magnetic North Pole.
Not only did The Pink Lady PoleCats finish the race 6th out of 16 teams, beating all-male teams along the way, but they also raced through polar bear territory, across constantly-shifting sea ice and survived storms with temperatures of -40°C. Tori remains the youngest ever female to have completed this extraordinary challenge.

Tori is an accomplished public speaker who frequently delivers motivational talks to a wide variety of organisations. Find out just exactly how this high performance team achieved what they had dreamt about for 10 months and be prepared for the extreme highs and lows experienced by the team.

Tori believes that ‘The trouble with doing nothing is that you never get any time off’ (Hoagy Carmichael, Jazz Musician). In keeping with this, Tori’s next adventure will be a six week expedition to the Tibetan Himalaya in an attempt to summit the sixth highest mountain in the world - Cho Oyu (8,201m), also known as the Turquoise Goddess. The expedition will require all of her stamina and mental will power as she battles the elements and her oxygen starved body to reach the top.
