“Survive to Race - the power of teamwork and positive thought”

Inspirational, well planned and delivered. Relayed experiences in simple way, allowing audience to relate (get the message) and interact on key topics. I must say I found the session very interesting and highly enjoyed the presentation that Rob gave.
JP Morgan

Rob was a member of the winning 2004 Fujitsu Polar racing team that took part in the largest ever mass participant race to any Pole. The race was filmed for a BBC 2 prime time television programme called “The Challenge”. The programme documented how the Fujitsu Polar Team coped with the addition of a Polar Novice in the shape of Paul “Seamus” Hogan, who was picked from the general public. Rob and the team survived -75c temperatures, Polar Bear attacks and frostbite to win the race, where seven teams started and only two finished. Listen to how they prepared for the race with significant time and other resource constraints together with a series of setbacks and mistakes that nearly cost them their lives and the race. Rob uses outstanding footage from the ice – watch out as an angry Polar Bear makes tracks towards the team!
